Joe Bale South West Champion
Local Kickboxer Joseph Bale recently travelled to Penzance to claim his
first championship title as a senior.
After a disappointing result at the Palace show in June where he lost on
points for the Southern Area eliminator Joe snapped up the opportunity to fight
for the South West title against Cornish opponent Mark Rowlett. Fought over five
two minute rounds Bale and Rowlett were both cagey at the start of the fight but
they both displayed an all round ability that saw the fight swing in favour from
one fighter to the other. But as the third round passed Joe Bale's fitness and
variation of attacks proved to dominate the remainder of the fight and he was
awarded the title with a unanimous decision. Joe and other local fighters
incuding Chris James will be in action in Bridgwater again in October.
